PDK stands for Provider Deployment Kit and is used for creating and installing application modules on SOClass e-Document Server (Server, Client and ULA parts). This utility is included in the SOClass Developer platform and gives the application developers the option to choose and set which modules to be included in the PDK.
Strategy Object provides two products SOClass Developer and SOClass e-Document Server. SOClass Developer is meant for application developers and SOClass e-Document Server is meant for end customers.
Application developers create modules to be installed on the SOClass e-Document Server. The Provider Deployment Kit contains all these new application modules prepared for installation. The PDK also provides the option to create an End User Client Setup Disk.
Such EUCS disk is created on the basis of a real production environment (installed and activated SOClass Server and Client).
It can be used for installing the SOClass Web Start Client environment locally on an end user machine. The benefit from this approach is saving the time for downloading all the jars and cache files of the SOClass Web Start Client at its first launch.
